Four Wheel Drive and Air Tour

Charleville - Quilpie -Windorah - Birdsville - Eyre Creek - Goyders Lagoon -Lake Eyre - William Creek - Coongie Lakes - Innamincka - Burke & Wills Dig Tree -Cooper Creek - Charleville

After a Town Tour and smoko at the Cosmos Centre, the Tour departs with Graham and Deb at 11am Saturday by road to Windorah via Quilpie. Overnight at Windorah, then via Haddon Corner to Birdsville.Stay in the historic Birdsville Pub, then next day view sunrise on Big Red, drive through the Simpson Desert to Eyre Creek. Return to Birdsville for lunch at the Bakery and visit the Wirrari Information Centre. Then tour John Menzies' Working Museum  before dinner in the Pub.

On Tuesday morning your Pilot, Pete, flies you out from Birdsville following the Diamantina River to Goyders Lagoon, then the Warburton Creek to Lake Eyre North. Thence down the Warburton Groove to Belt Bay and to William Creek, on the old Ghan Railway line, for lunch.

Fly back over Lake Eyre and up the Cooper Creek to the Coongie Lakes to Innamincka for a twilight Discoverer Cruise on the Cooper Creek. Then dinner in the Innamincka Pub. Thursday morning fly to the Burke & Wills "Dig Tree", then follow the Cooper back to Charleville, arriving at 1pm.
